Help welcome the Class of 2029 by becoming a CPW host! Hosts are instrumental to the success of CPW—not only in providing admitted students a place to stay on campus for the weekend, but also in sharing the warmth, diversity, and culture of MIT.

In order to become a host, you need to complete the entire registration form below by March 23, 2025. The registration process includes a 15-minute mandatory training, so plan accordingly!

All registered hosts will be notified via email on April 10, to let them know if they have been matched with a student. If you are selected as a host, you’ll receive more information about hosting and your specific student.

FAQs

Air mattress requests: Registered hosts will have the option to opt-in to receive an air mattress (limited to one per admitted student) on their registration form. If you choose not to request an air mattress on your registration form, we will not be able to provide you with an air mattress. Instructions on how to pick up the air mattresses will be sent in early April.

Who can host for CPW? Current undergraduate students, in good standing, who live in MIT-affiliated housing (undergraduate residence halls & FSILGs).

How many students can I host? You can host up to two admitted students.

I know an admitted student(s), can I host them? Yes! You and the admitted student(s) must both agree to this. There are designated sections on each of your forms that ask you for each other’s information. We will only match you together if the information aligns.

My admit is asking to come before/stay after CPW, what do I do? We have informed admitted students that housing will be provided to them from Thursday morning to Sunday at noon. You are not responsible for hosting an admitted student before or after CPW. Please email cpw@mitadmissions.org so that we can inform the admit of our CPW housing accommodation policy.
